Actually, the script I want him involved in is an 8 minute short set in NYC. It's quite... different and so I want to send him [or his agent] a junket of information detailing what I want to do with the project. If they don't accept, that's fine with me.

(And I mean his quote, not some pittance) Would you even budget flying him out and putting him up if he said "yes?" Oh, let me guess. You found out that he had a shingle and figure he'll pay for everything. I see. Those must be 8 life-changing pages you got there.

This is the reason why so many agents and producers peg new screenwriters as crazy until proven otherwise.
