They're not going to take any unsolicited material. Everything has to go through Tracy Jacobs his agent at UTA.

So they can put it in the circular file with the rest of the "You've never heard of me, but I have something that's perfect for Johnny" scripts?

Exactly.

Don't listen to defeaters, Jack.

UTA's number is 310 273 6700.

Although if you don't even have the initiative of dialing 411 to find out UTA's number, then I wonder how you're going to sell yourself.

Go get some gumption. You can do it.

Good luck.

Actually, the script I want him involved in is an 8 minute short set in NYC. It's quite... different and so I want to send him [or his agent] a junket of information detailing what I want to do with the project. If they don't accept, that's fine with me.

I've managed to find the address to mail her the information so I'm good. Thank you EVERYONE for your help. I really appreciate it.

Very true. Don't listen to negative stuff from folks like me. Trying to get Depp may be a longshot, but you know what? I haven't seen the script. If it's too good to pass up, then it'll get done.

Is it too late to take back what I said above? I hadn't read the exact nature on this "project."

You want to get in contact with an agent to see if Johnny Depp will be in your short? Come on, man. That's crazy talk. Am I correct in assuming he would not be paid for this? (And I mean his quote, not some pittance) Would you even budget flying him out and putting him up if he said "yes?" Oh, let me guess. You found out that he had a shingle and figure he'll pay for everything. I see. Those must be 8 life-changing pages you got there.

This is the reason why so many agents and producers peg new screenwriters as crazy until proven otherwise.
