View Full Version : Blade: Trinity. Ok. It was bad. Like, Bad-Bad. A little good, but bad. How bad?

I thought it was bad.
That bad.
Here is a film that had a neat concept. Nice eye candy. Nice comic moments (the vampire pomeranian's fight scene was outstanding).
The bearded dude had good comic sidekick dialogue.
The boobed girl had hot leather and a hurt look.
And then there's... Wesley Snipes.
The man single-handedly sucked all the life out of this potentially fantastic movie better than any vampire ever could.
His presence is that of a granite slab, with not an ounce of soul, character, charisma.. or anything. He might as well have been played by a cardboard cutout of himself.
This movie might have worked if Snipes could have given just one F*cking tidbit of looking like he gave a damn during it.

I thought it was fun. Not as good as the first, but much better than the second.
The comic relief was refreshing, and I kind of liked how Blade was almost a supporting character, just this big, serious badass to act as a foil for the young vampire hunters.
Loved how bearded guy (Ryan Reynolds from Two Guys, A Girl and a Pizza Place, you know) got rid of the vampire dogs. Hilarious.

I refuse to watch Blade 3. Mostly because of jessica beil, which is the only reason why I would watch it in the first place. Her looks are good, but her acting couldn't be any worse.
Now the Texas Chain Saw Massacre remake...that was not just bad, that was Springtime For Hitler bad. I'd rather take a bullet than have to see that crap again.

I can't blame Snipes. Word is that they were thinking of replacing him with Reynolds in the next movie. For him, Blade III was the equivalant of getting laid off and having to train your replacement in your last two weeks.
This POS schlock-fest lost me at the "human vampire hunters" parts, where screen-waif Jessica Biel just strolls through a virtual torrent of superhumanly-fast, agile and extremely strong vampires...
Think about the logic for a second, why are humans in danger again?

The 2nd one did have The Cat from Red Dwarf, and that adds about a million cool points in my book.

Ryan Reynolds is frickin' hilarious. And hot, too.

We needed some Wesley Snipes of the gold ol' "MAJOR LEAGUE" Willy Mays Hayes days. :-)
Snipes actually sued Brian Goyer and the studio for destroying "his" franchise and playing too much for a spin-off with the young'ens. He knows he's a One-Trick-Pony!

Really? I didn't even recognize him. It has been a while since I saw Red Dwarf, though.

He's at the start, One of the vamps that send Blade "the message" it was a small part... but still cool... I also like seeing Donnie Yen in an American film even if he was horribly underused.

Dang. If I didn't hate the movie so much, I'd watch it again to catch Cat's appearance. You'd think I'd have recognized him, since both characters had fangs. Heh.

ugh, that was a travesty. why'd they even bother putting him in if he was just gonna walk around carrying a sword?

Snipes and Val Kilmer would be perfect for the Miami Vice movie. Both of their A-list careers were ruined by PhilipMichaelThomas-itis and DonJohnson-itis (2 fatal diseases of the ego) respectively.

Yeah, but I hope it might lead to more work... I mean the dude lived in Boston for years he speaks perfect english, I don't know why he dosnt get more work here... unless he just dosn't want it.

you know... "MIAMI VICE STARRING KILMER AND SNIPES" I just may pay to see that. And who knows maybe it'd do a rejuvenation of careers (ie: MAtrix)

actually, i might pay to see that too... Kilmer would make a believable, slightly more ratted down and half disheveled version of Crockett in shades and cabana shirt. And Snipes the emaculately dressed brotha in sharkskin with a flat top do. somebody get me a casting job

Better than Colin Farrell? Hmmmmm? I think this needs a new thread. Colin Farrell v Val Kilmer.
