Screenplay Reader's Checklist

1 Was a unique world created?
2 Does the hero arc?
3 Would actors kill for the lead roles?
4 Is there ample subtext?
5 Are the stakes high enough?
6 Character descriptions interesting?
7 Format correct?
8 Does writer understand screenplay language?
9 Is there a strong
theme(s)?
10 Act One (sets up central conflict?)
11 Act Two (does it build?)
12 Act Three (solves central conflict?)
13 Exposition handled in a creative way?
14 Too much dialogue?
15 Too much repetition?
16 Is it predictable?
17 Is there enough overall conflict?
18 Is there too much cliché?
19 Does the pacing seem right?
20 Is the ending satisfactory?
21 Are things too easy for the hero?
22 Is it emotionally involving?
23 Does the antagonist strongly oppose the protagonist?
24 Do the subplots intersect with the main plot?
25 Loose Ends Tied Up?
