Lion Gate Film's low budget horror based on the semi-obscure comic book.

Wanted to like it, but the cliche opening and characters did it in for me.

The director did set up real a creepy tone and his use the the setting was spooky. Story was a rehash of polterguist, though I don't know the comic well enough to say if it was an actual storyline from them.

I looked pretty good for a low budget flick.

Watched Dog Soldiers after that. Flawed as it was, really enjoyed it.

Beat sheet, nothing. I'd like to go back in time and not read this whole thread.

From what I remember, the Man-Thing was somewhat of a tragic figure, not the (mostly) mindless killing machine depicted in the movie.

Wasn't that the one with the slogan "Whoever knows fear... BURNS at the touch of the Man Thing?" Pretty cool.

...Doesn't really work on dates, though.

If your Man-Thing burns when you touch it, you should really see a doctor.

Right you are. Boy was I surprised to find that women aren't the only ones who can get yeast infections.

Right you are. Boy was I surprised to find that women aren't the only ones who can get yeast infections. wow. I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only guy that's had that happen to them.

I got it from..uh...my dog.

Well, I actually saw this movie.

And it didn't suck nearly as bad as I thought it would. For a B grade horror flick, it had good sets and an excellent monster.

Bearing only a passing resemblence to the comic and its central character. They did mention, at the end, that Man-thing is the guardian of the Nexus of All Worlds, which is straight outta the book. Didn't Howard the Duck come out of this book as a side character? I think he did.

I'd even give it a recomend- provided you have 102 minutes to kill, like B grade horror flicks, and don't mind Blue eyed Blonds with barely concealed Aussie accents trying to act like they're of Native American descent and native Lousiannians.

Oh, and the girl at the beginning had nice fake boobs.
