We're currently working on a biopic based on your life, jimjim. It's called "Boys Don't Cry II".
Seriously, though, thanks for the kind words.

Congratulations, Channel Zero.

Hey, I saw the news in the trades! Fantastic!
The new one sounds great, and I also loved the idea of "Stripes" set in the world of Special Forces. Very fun.

Someone ought to document how I'm breaking into TV. Getting my Adam's apple shaved wasn't that bad, but these new C cups are killing my back.

You go guys!

Hi guys. congratulations on your script sale.
If I may suggest, please take a few minutes to Google the many essays written about "Hustle and Flow," a movie that has earned enormous critical praise and has largely been boycotted by the African-American community.
One particularly good one is by New York Daily New columnist Stanley Crouch,
While that movie, according to the reviews, is poignant and far from demeaning, it is the one-sentence log line that has caused so much concern: "A small-time pimp tries to become a rapper."
That said, if your script is funny, (and I'm sure you feel it is) I wish you all the success in the world.
(And for those who find irony in the fact I am a Snoop Dogg fan, but less than thrilled about a rapper-turned-nanny comedy, let me just say there are some things that just can't be explained in an Internet post)

aaaaah I love the smell of sour grapes in the morning.
08-29-2005, 02:57 PM
Okay, which of you losers is named Bear?
But I still demand an answer.
08-29-2005, 03:29 PM
I second the congrats but sheesh, talk about backhanded compliments from a certain unnamed poster. Sometimes, silence is really golden.
08-29-2005, 03:42 PM
Way to go!
I could say more, but brevity is clarity. What I mean by that is that sometimes someone can go on and on and on and...damn. What was I saying? Oh yeah...congrats!
08-29-2005, 04:16 PM
I have a dog named Bear. I am honored that a screenwriter would name himself after my dog.
08-29-2005, 04:39 PM
Great job, guys! I'm always excited to see something positive happen to somebody on the board!
08-29-2005, 10:32 PM
Razorfish? Yo, Razorfish!
I've got a towel for you,
you know, for the crap you just stepped in?
Is this a comedy or a drama?
08-29-2005, 11:18 PM
Yeah, congrats, I mean, HOLY HELL! What luck. You know if you guys are lucky and this is shown, I'll deifinitely go to go see it...I mean it's probably better than most of the movies out there now...
Once again, congrats...You guys are my hero right now!!
08-30-2005, 12:19 AM
It's a comedy. And thanks to everybody for the kind words.

Mad props to the Tom & Bear crew. And many mo'.
08-30-2005, 10:29 PM
I know you're trying to make a point, but I don't know what it is.
To "Tom and Bear," I hope you understand that I'm not personally attacking you, nor does this have anything to do with sour grapes. I'm hoping there are at least a few people who read my post who understand what I'm saying. If not, well hey, that's show biz.
08-30-2005, 11:04 PM
Love the title - it brought a smile to my face when I read it.
If you get a chance, please give us some details.
08-31-2005, 03:36 AM
If not, well hey, that's show biz.
I hear what you're saying, just suggesting there might have been a better place to say it rather than hijack a congratulatory thread.
01-08-2006, 03:09 PM
This is FANTASTIC news! Congratulations guys.
also wishing you continued success. :)
