I recently got back from a vacation to Canada and was wondering if anyone knows anything about the production companies there. Is there a good site for information on them? Does anyone know of any that may be in the mood for a smart and attractive query letter?

And what can I do about this lingering taste of maple syrup in my mouth? It tastes so good... like quality beer and free health care.

Is IMDB searchable through Nations? That would be a great place to start.

Not sure what to do about the second Q you ask tho.

I have a website that lists a slew of production companies, both American and Canadian, as well as pretty much anything else I can think of that's related to screenwriting. To check out production companies, go to the 'Producers' page on my website 'ScriptlinksCA' at: http://members.shaw.ca/any-word/producers.htm

Hey enna,

Nice to see you here.

My wife and I went to a meeting last year with your group...never heard anything back about the next meeting.

Are you thinking of trying Canadian production companies instead of (or in addition to) American ones? What are the odds, comparatively?

Might want to check out the Canadian Writer's Guild.

Just to let you know that it is harder than hell for an American to get a Canadian production company to produce their script. We have a Canadian content that we have to follow which includes our home grown productions.
