If I'm writing a script and I want to say in PG-13, meaning, not get into an R-rating, does anyone know of a website or other source that will specifically tell me what kind of words I can or can't use, and what kinds of sex scenes are okay (if any) for PG-13? I've already searched Google under "movie ratings" and "PG-13" and found only very general info.

The reason the info is general is because there are not hard and fast guidelines. In a recent thread, the best advice seemed to be to write it how you want it, then let the people making it turn boobs into bikinis and @#%$ into fudge.

As pantalone says, only general guidelines are given.

I've heard that typically, you can get away with four f-words, but none can be in a sexual connotation (ie. "F you" is okay, "I want to F you" is not.) The other swears, excepting of course the bad c-word, are okay.

In the sexual realm, sexual content, both visual and verbal, is supposed to be "discreet." Take that however you want. It's a very grey area, decided on a film-by-film basis.

Remember that politics has a lot to do with ratings. Different studios and different directors have different rules.
