I think Teddy Roosevelt is a very interesting character and makes a great subject for a movie. However is it just me that finds it kind of pathetic that Scorsese and DiCaprio are doing ANOTHER biopic already.

Title: The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt
Log Line: Centers on the life and formative years of the 26th president of the United States.
Writer: Nicholas Meyer
Agent: Alan Gasmer of William Morris Agency
Buyer: Paramount Pictures
Price: n/a
Genre: Drama Bio
Logged: 9/12/05
More: To be adapted from Edmund Morris’ book. Daniella Taplin, Martin Scorsese and Appian Way's Leonardo DiCaprio & Brad Simpson will produce. Scorsese will also direct. DiCaprio will also star.

I agree. And the two men, Hughes and Roosevelt, have much in common. It's going to look like "The Aviator", but this time on a horse, going up San Juan Hill.

And no Kate Hepburn, no Ava Gardner, no Harlow.

We get to see Leo in riding pants with a crop in one hand, reins in his teeth, and a very groovy handlebar mustache, no?

The best Teddy Roosevelt will always be John Alexander in my opinion.John Alexander played "Teddy Brewster," who thought that he was Theodore Roosevelt.

I'd love to see T.R.'s "The Wendigo (http://gaslight.mtroyal.ab.ca/wendigo.htm)" incorporated into a good film, but, with Nicholas Meyer as the writer, (and the rest of this crew), I'll be glad to wait for it to show up some other time.
