Hi. Two formatting questions, and thanks SO much in advance:
1. If I have a scene that I want to kind of fade a little before the next one, rather than just cleanly cutting, how do I signify that? I know that "fade out" is probably wrong...but do I write, "Fade into:" or something?
And which side of the script does it go on - right or left?
2. Suppose I have two characters talking, and one of them is describing a person to the other one. And as he's describing the person, I want to show a quick shot of the described-person dancing. Do I have to signify that in the quick descriptive scene, it's just a characterizing scene -- say something like "Signifying shot" or "Characterizing shot" or something...or do I just have the first character give his line of dialogue, switch to the scene of the described-person dancing, and then go back to the original scene?
Thanks!
