For example, I see characters introduce two ways.

INTRO #1

INT. FITNESS CENTER - DAY

A YOUNG MAN in his late 20s, is lifting weights.

(His name is Bobby, but it isn't mentioned until another character says "Hi Bobby.")

INTRO #2

INT. FITNESS CENTER - DAY

BOBBY, a young man in his late 20s, lifts weights etc....

How do you experienced writers handle minor things such as this?

Normally you do it the second way. You capitalize BOBBY, and then he's Bobby from there on out. You don't have to wait until someone speaks his name.

If he's a minor character and he doesn't get a name, you capitalize HANDSOME GUY, or FAT POLICEMAN, and when he speaks, he's still HANDSOME GUY or FAT POLICEMAN.

If at first you don't want us to know who the character is, you can call him SHADOWY FIGURE, or MASKED MAN. Later, when he takes off the mask and you want us to know who he really is, you say he's BOBBY, and then you start calling him Bobby.

Or if at first we thought his name was CLARK and later we learn it's really BOBBY, then after the reveal, you can have a transition when you call him CLARK/BOBBY, and then, after you think people have adjusted, you can call him Bobby.
