I apologize if this has been asked a million times, but what is the "correct" way to handle foreign languages? In my script, some of my dialogue is in Spanish. Do I put the English translation as dual dialogue?:rolleyes

.....(in French)
This has been covered many
times. Write your script
in the language of the people
who will be reading it.
.....(in English)
It is assumed your characters
are speaking English unless
stated otherwise.
.....(in German)
So if you want your characters
to use a language other than
English you can easily indicate
it with a note in parenthetics.
.....(in English)
If you write the script in
a language the reader doesn't
understand it will be gibberish
to the reader like this example.

Regardless of if you plan to write
the English translation in addition
to the original language under or
beside it, using a non-English
language serves no purpose other
than to try and impress them with
your knowledge of another language
but since they can't read it they
can't really be all that impressed.
Non-English text is a waste of space.

My 2 cents.
