Good Machine was eaten up by Focus Features quite a while ago, I think. And the Weinstein's company is called The Weinstein Company. (how appropriate)

There's also Sony Pictures Classics and Merchant-Ivory (bigger budgets).

Ah yes, I thought Good Machine had been swallowed up, but they're still getting recent credits on IMDB so I thought maybe they survived in some fashion.

Can you guys give budget ranges for small, medium and large. Such as what is the range for a medium budget picture - 2-5 million? Thanks.

From an NYC indie perspective I'd break it down like this:

Very Low: <$500,000

Low: $500,000 - $2M

Medium: $2M - $5M

High: $5M+

If you're an indie filmmaker with >$5M to play with, you're a kid in a candy store.
