Paramount Buys DreamWorks!

Apparently the Viacom board approved the deal yesterday. The sale price is rumored to be between $1.6-1.8 BILLION, with Paramount forking out about half the money. Private investors will take care of the rest.

Deal includes distribution of DreamWorks Animation flicks.

Man, what a coup for Brad Grey! I bet Ron Meyers is pissed.....

I hope they'll be buying lots of scripts. I thought GE would buy it given DW's relationship with Universal over the years. Guess not.
