My favorite. For real.
The best articles and interviews.
I used to love Fade In. But now they are becoming more US like and less screenwriting oriented.
(first post, first thread, new forum.. :D pay no attention to that other thread. it wasn't here until after me. mods always trying to zing me )

A banner day... Yet again I agree with Mr. Thrilly. It's an excellent magazine, though the latest Fade In (which Billy wouldn't be interested in, anyway) has a long and thoughtful interview with George Clooney that's actually very informative.

I enjoy this magazine as well. The bookstore here no longer carries it so I
need to get a subscription. Niccceeee.

Last time I renewed I took out a three-year subscription.
It's that good... :)

Re: Fade in

I agree - too much focus on and interviews with actors. Starts to look like Premiere or Empire mag.
CS magazine is good. Only problem is you can't read half the articles because of the spoilers. By the time the flick comes out the CS issue is buried in a cupboard and I've forgotten about it :(

Really good magazine. I can only rarely find it locally. Guess I'll have to subscribe. Somehow that is never as much fun as visiting the bookstore to see if a new issue of CS has come out yet. But we have to adapt, don't we, Charli?
I would agree that way too many articles have spoilers. It really is possible to discuss a film in fairly good detail without completely giving away everything.
I am glad to have the new forum here.

In the old "blue journal" days, we didn't have that problem. Now, I keep the last issue and the current issue nearby. And when I see a movie, I immediately go back to LAST issue to check it out.

Maybe you can turn that into some type of award points thing, Jim?
Everytime we go back to the old issue after seing a movie we're awarded a few points or maybe mark off a slip or something.
And maybe we can cash that it for a free sub or something at some point?
Yea? Nay?
I love it.
Regardless, great magazine.

One day soon I hope to sell a screenplay for 10 million dollars so I can afford a subscription to Creative Screenwriting. Right now I have to settle for the weekly emails, which I receive in HTML form, and seems to take forever for Entourage to "render."
