For those of you who have been following Hard Scrambled, the feature film that was produced by me and Erik Bauer via New Visions Fellowship and Creative Screenwriting, we have been accepted into the Cinequest Film Festival for March of this year. More details to come. It will be the world premiere and everyone is welcome to come on out and watch the film.

More soon...

Yes, Michael, author of Breakfast with Sharks, was a coproducer on the film. As was Caryn Shuken. New Visions Fellowship partner and writer of the feature I directed, March, Dean Morini was an executive producer.

I'm definitely interested in seeing it, since I've read CS for awhile now never skipping all your columns. Keep us up to date on when, where.

Jim, when are you going to announce the results of the 2004 New Visions Fellowship competition? Your website says December 2005. Um, it's now January 2006. Thanks.

I was hoping to have it out last week, but then post-production on the first NVF winner, Hard Scrambled, reared its ugly head, since we have to finish it for Cinequest, which was in March. I don't know if we will have a winner this month, but I promise to get the top 10 out this month.

The top ten have been selected. I gave the info and the contest emails to Erik a few days ago. It should be going out and up any day now. I will check with him this morning when we meet about Hard Scrambled post production.

Erik said an email went out to all of the entrants several days ago announcing the top ten status.

You might want to double-check that. I haven't heard a thing. Why not simply post the results on the website?
