Does anyone have a link or list of movies filtered by production companies?

Try IMDb.com and search by company credits.

Hmmm Yes Phatgirl, thank you for that. I was hoping for something a bit more intuitive. ;)

It's about 25-30 bucks a year. A pee in the ocean compared to sites such as Film Tracker.
I've got a lot of mileage out of Movie Bytes - good site. I used it a lot when going out to prod. co.'s and agents - and no - I don't work for them.;)

Thanks kidcharlemagne, good to know, just started a full time job, so maybe I can afford to do moviebytes now. Thanks for the info. :rolling: .

This may not belong here but I didn't feel like posting a new thread...

What's the deal with production companies and their link to genres? I'm sure producers have their own interests just like everyone else, and some may be more eclectic than others, but what happens when, say, a producer whose last 3 produced films have been comedies, asks to see your thriller?

Do they have real interest? Are they looking for something different? Did a new development person take over?

How often do relationships between production companies come into play... Meaning if the producers of "Meet the Fockers" often work in association with Tribeca but their credits are different, what are the odds of the comedy company looking at something that may be more interesting to the partners they've teamed with in the past?

I would assume all prod co's approach scripts individually/independently and don't think about teaming up w/ others, but I'd be interested in seeing anyone w/ knowledge on the subject chime in...

Kid, do you use "who's buying what?" I thought it might be a worthwhile monetary investment in regard to finding agents/managers/prod cos, targeting those buying my kinds of scripts. What info do they give you if you know?

Does moviebytes offer email addresses for reps?

Thanks :bounce:

With MB you can search on a prod. co's name, a movie name, an agent's name, an agency's name, an exec's name and you get a list of the projects they were involved with.

You can also search on genre etc. I think Done Deal Pro has the same service.

Suck it and see. Like I said it's 25-30 bucks a year, not a month!

There is no one comprehensive database with email addresses of every prod. co. You have to glean email addy's from different sources. All databases will have some email addresses but life is not that easy. Prod. co's don't want to give out their email addy's or they would be inundated with e-queries. Also the emails that you will see on HCD for instance may just be of the info@ or queries@ variety so you are going straight into the slush pile.

Sometimes you just have to search for domain names, ask here on DD, take a guess on the email structure etc.
