I heard that there is a certain list that tells you if a studio is looking for readers and same sort of positions. Is this true? Is there any otrer source where we can get this "LIST"?.

I don't know a thing about lists, but every now and then "script reader wanted" ads show up on IMDb-Pro.

Angel, you're thinking of the UTA job list.

It circulates via email. You have to find a source that's a few degrees of separation from the original source. The last time I read a letter from the assistant currently maintaining that list he seemed overwhelmed by emails and a bit perturbed. But it began as an email list compiled by a UTA assistant.

The list has everything from junior exec positions to a dismaying volume of unpaid college-credit type assistant positions. The readers are at the very bottom :)

However, I will say that most people trying to fill those jobs probably don't need the list. They can put out a few phone calls and have friends send them referrals. I give mixed reviews to the experience of actually chasing jobs via the list.

Also, as I've said many times, it's nigh impossible to break in to reading as a paid reader. You pretty much need to do it as an intern for a few months before you'll have enough credibility to approach it as the underpaid freelance gig it usually is.

Poor Jesse. (Or is someone else in charge--is it time to try again? )

One or two people on Done Deal must get it regularly. Can't we bring it to One-on-One? :)

I'm sure they do.

As he is already overwhelmed by emails, Jesse will probably frown on public posting of his full name on a messageboard.

Someone might want to edit that out?

Done... just to be safe.
