thanks CE
figures he'd be one of yours :)
I know there have been threads about contacting talent... Is writing the agency acceptable or is it just as fat a chance as querying?
How often do directors look at projects... I believe he's slated for "Two minutes to midnight" ?? for 2007?

Yeah, he's attached to TWO MINUTES TO MIDNIGHT - which should be pretty good with Adrian at the helm.
:)
Hey CE, I'm curious. what do you know about this script?

Everything.
What do you want to know?
Here's the pitch:
A ruthless divorce attorney scrambles to find his kidnapped wife before he must pay the ransom: his suicide.
Thanks. Do you know if this was a pitch or a spec?

It was an untitled pitch. The guy has a good head for concepts.
He's like a superman. He's sold a handful of pitches and a spec to Leo DiCaprio. He wrote the successful remake of THE LONGEST YARD and has done lots of rewrites (like SNAKES ON A PLANE). He was slated to write MAGNETO, the X-MEN spin-off. Not sure what's up with that project.
:)
Thanks for the info - I asked because I wanted to know what "insiders" believed to be the truth about this project. The press releases and trade articles have not quite been accurate.
This was originally set-up at Disney with Michael Bay attached - Look up "Untitled Bay Thriller" or "King's Ransom". It is a rewrite by the screenwriter you mentioned. The concept and original screenplay was written by a friend of mine.
