Pitch Exchange

Scr(i)pt is putting on a "Pitch Exchange" session in NY and I was thinking of attending. As a newbie, I thought it might be a good learning experience, if nothing else. Have any of you attended one of these events? (They have classes and workshops but the centerpiece of the event is a chance to meet with various studio execs for 5 minutes and make a pitch). I was wondering if this is worth the effort to come to NY, if anyone had any success, etc? Also, would I be wasting my time if I only have a couple of treatments but not the finished scripts yet?
