For those of you who made the cut, what genres were your scripts in?

Horror here, with a couple thrillers added and one Sci-fi/Action. <<<These are what the reviewers called it, BTW.

Looking at the tittles, the vast majority seem to be of the thriller/sci fi/action variety.

If you didn't enter a horror or thriller script, you'd have been better off contributing your entry fee to the March of Dimes.

Hmm, most of you have horror/thrillers. I guess that's what they really are looking for this year. Good luck to y'all! :)

Strangely, I had a high school drama -- Fall to Pieces -- get through the first round.
The problem for me is that each of my scripts -- except maybe one -- has a big element that can't be done on a low budget. I can get around a couple of these, but FTP has both a fire and car crash, the latter of which is critical to the story. My time travel one, which was rated the second highest, I believe, has special effects, albeit only a few, that are necessary so as not to confuse the viewer. I would almost prefer to get to the top 5 or 3, not win, and then have the opportunity to get one done on a higher budget.
