Anybody know where this guy hangs out? Who works for his production company? Where he gets his hair cut? Where he drinks his lattes? Thanks in advance!

No, but I certainly wouldn't recommend tracking him down. What do you think he's going to do; admire your initiative?
Come to think of it, even your signature is kinda scary.

Well if you think my sig is scary, you're in the wrong business. Fear is not going to get you anywhere in Hollywood.

Dang, I think it's scary too.
But hey, if you find Antoine, ask him if he's related to my grandmother's next-door neighbor, Lois Fuqua.

Did you cut in front of me on the line at Starbucks on San Vincente in Brentwood?

But seriously, if anyone has a great script, send it to Fuqua. He needs it . Nice visual style but doesn't know how to pick a script.

Only thing I didn't like about it is that it doesn't even rank in my top 5 (or maybe even 10) of Washington's performances, but it was the first to get him the Best Actor Oscar.
As for Fuqua, I agree that his script selection is shotty, but Training Day is by far his best. One thing you have to consider though is that he aims for projects that many would consider to be "out of his realm" because of his melanin count, and because of that, he gets a lot of scripts that "other" directors may have passed on (Replacement Killers, King Arthur, Tears of the Sun, etc.)

He's just finishing up the adaptation of one of my favorite action novels, called 'Point of Impact'. The movie is called 'Shooter' and stars Mark Wahlberg.
The sad truth is - I believe he will take a story I LOVE and an actor I really like, and turn them both into. . . Well, let's just say, an Antoine Fuqua film. :|

LOL, no. I don't maneuver in that neck of the woods very often.

LOL, why is it scary? That cracks me up seriously because I look at it like this, I don't like when people sit on the fence you know they're like, "Oh it's okay, or so and so is okay?" What the hell is okay? Either you like somebodyor you don't. It sounds harsh, but it's real walkie-talkie. Indecisive people make me nervous.

Some people do one thing well. He may know how to direct, but not read a script. Personally I loved Training Day because Denzel was refreshing as a villain and the story was realistic. Some movies just are so fake they're too stupid too watch...but then again it is the land of make believe. :rolling:

I didn't like Training Day because Denzel's character was so thin, "I'm the meanest m-f-er..." Then he screams it again, and again, and again. Okay, I get it.
It just seemed ironic DW would the award for his least layered performance.

I'm not sure you're going to bump into Antoine in Sun Valley.

It was a different type of role for him. Not his usual goody two shoes stuff. I'd like to see Halle play a killer or villain, maybe a hitwoman...making her so bad you love to hate her. Too many actors stick to the same m.o. and it gets boring after a while.

The story wasn't realistic at all. Not in the least. It relied on coincidence far too often, it had holes in it, basically, it sucked.

To say the script sucked is pushing it. While Training Day will never be confused with Shawshank or Serpico, for the quality of the script, it certainly was a compelling movie.
Denzel deserved the Oscar and the directing was superb.

The Oscar for the most unbelievable coincidences still goes to "Crash."

Okay since it, sucked, what do YOU consider a good movie? Why does it suck--specifically? Because you couldn't relate or just didn't get it?

Training Day did NOT suck. But there were problems...
It's been a while, but if I remember right, at the end we learn Denzel was using Ethan Hawk's character to kill Scott Glen's character. If I'm right. Why did he have to go through all that stuff to do that? He's a cop, Scott Glen was a retired cop gone bad. He could have killed him and exposed his crimes, and Internal Affairs would have never thought about it again.
I know he was testing Hawk, but what for?
