I read the news item about WGAwest/Charles Holland scandal in the Hollywood Reporter. Holland claims he was in the US Army Special Forces and played college football under a different name. I plan to research his SF background(with NARA.gov/www.stolenvalor.com/etc). If Mr. Holland is lying about his military service and/or his past, he should lose his position as WGAwest president. All of this reminds me of the Blair/NY Times scandal.

I fully agree as he is pissing on the graves of all the brave men who died as special forces operatives.>:

I contacted SSG Bob Jack(US Army/retired). Jack runs a website for the US Army Special Forces/veterans. He informed me that Charles Holland is not listed as a member of the Special Forces and Special Operations Associations. SSG Jack also stated that Holland is NOT listed in the 5th Special Forces Group roster and in The Green Beret magazine.

So, you're saying that Holland doesn't know Jack? Or the other way around?

Heh heh, what about someone who claims to have actively served in the National Guard during Vietnam (who also happen to hold a high position of responsibility in government) and no one seems able to verify said "active" service? What should happen to that person?

The Hollywood Reporter item says that Holland(if that is even his real last name) claims his military records are "classified". US Army records are kept FOREVER at the records center in ST Louis, MO(www.NARA.gov). BTW: At least GWB has photos of himself in military uniforms, can Charles Holland provide any photos/documents/etc that describe his Special Forces service?
