Ray Davila -- and what is probably a new venture called Dazzle Entertainment. Wants to sign me -- main points below. I don't mean to inundate people with such detail-oriented stuff, so if you have any information on the guy I mentioned, that would be more than sufficent. Used to work at Shoreline in some capacity.

EXCERPTS
"As compensation for the services covered by this agreement you shall pay to us, when received, a sum equal to 15% of any and all gross earnings or other consideration that you receive for your activities in the entertainment industry."

"As well, a sum equal to 15% of any salary, earnings, fees, royalties, gifts, bonuses, shares of stock, shares of profit, partnership interests, and percentages derived from the exploitation of any and all “activities,” as in those listed in subparagraph (a)."

"Following the expiration or termination of this agreement, you agree to pay us 15% of your gross earnings for any and all resumptions or engagements, contracts and agreements that may have been discounted while this agreement was in effect and resumed within a year after its expiration and termination."

You may want to change your subject header to something more descriptive.

My manager takes 10%; most legit ones do. You may want to question his 15%, which seems excessive.

I thought 15% for a manager is pretty normal and 10% is what most agents take.

More and more managers I am in contact with are citing 10 percent as the norm. I think at one time 15 was okay but, that is now considered a bit high for a reputable manager

Just my experiences however...

I know that talent managers take 15%, but I hear that many have lowered that to 10%.

The bigger things to watch out for in the contract is gifts. What does that mean? If you sell your script and the studio buys your script and buys you a bar, does that mean you would have to outlay 15% of the cash value of the bar to your manger? I would take that out.

Congratulations on being signed!
