Saw this at another screenwriting site.

For any aspiring reality tv show creators, this contest promises an opportunity to have your pitch bought for 50k with a chance to pitch to networks.

Not sure how legit it is, and not my thing, but for anyone interested:

Just to clarify, it looks like you only receive $50,000 if your pitch is actually bought by one of the networks. There doesn't appear to be such a thing as "the best pitch wins $50,000" (not that jkk808 said there was).

There's an entry fee. It looks like you have to fill out the entry form before the amount of the entry fee is revealed (I wasn't willing to do that to learn how much the entry fee is). From what I can see, the entry-fee amount is NOT listed in the "Official Rules", which is a red flag to me.

The contest-holders own your idea for 100 days (with no compensation whatsoever to you).

It sure sounds like these people are counting on someone coming up with a multi-million dollar idea for which the creator is locked into receiving only $50,000 of that, and only if the idea actually sells.

The web-site is worth visiting, if only to wiggle your cursor around while on their home-page. ;)
