The list is up! But it looks like about 35 companies, not the 60 they were promising. :rolleyes

Goody-goody gumdrops!

I don't mind the reduced #, just becuz it's already so much better organized. Last year was a mess just in the registration, and I'm sure the execution wasn't much better.

I also like that I can see which companies are best suited to hear the story I'm pitching.

My only concern is a repeat of last year's popular "Oops, the computer lost it."

And seriously -- can you imagine ANYONE blowing off going to see William Goldman on Sunday?

Is is too late to register of the pitchfest? The website says 9/25 but I might be wrong. Thanks.

A5555 - people who registered for Expo before Sept 25 will be sent an email "in late September" which will point them to a website for registration. I haven't gotten an email yet.
Time to get out the highlighter....

....if I'm pitching a horror script is it safe to say most of the Production Companies that list everything under the sun except for horror is a good idea since horror seems to be a hot property right now?

And how much later in September can you get than the 30th. :rolleyes

But, I did receive an email announcement about the Onsite Short Screenwriting Competition - a tequila trip to Mexico! with scorpions too.

I'm willing to give the new system (if there is one) a day or so to get up and running.

Just as long as my IDs show up before Thurs 16 I'll be a happy man. ;)

When asked if and when the emails to alert us about when the pitchfest webapge would be up and running got this reply:

"Not yet. We'll send it as soon as the site it ready."

Got my 5. Not all the ones I wanted, but close enough. The agents went very quickly! At least I got one.

Even on a cable line it bogged down last night, got five that I wanted, all on Sunday. Time to prep, worry and watch others attempt the same.

What I found was it was probably easier to grab 2 check out then go back in and grab 2 more and check out. Since by the time you got all the ones you wanted one or 2 were gone.

Looking at the list now there still a few left to choose from.

Was the ordering process worse or better than last year?

Just didn't know that once you selected that the spot could be bought right from under you. Otherwise I would have bought one at a time. But, I wanted to get the discount too. :\

LOL - last year most people stood in line for 2 (got crappy choices) to 7 (got select choices) hours; missing a lot of the Saturday seminars >:

Last year was AWFUL - and when I saw the line it removed any interest I had -- I'll take this year's process over last year's any day. I was also able to schedule my times for a single block during a time when I had no seminars booked,

of course - there's always the possibility of next week hearing the news they've added Dimension, New Line, Disney/Touchstone, and Jersey Films (hint hint)

FYI -- some buddies of mine just tried to register - found its all sold out.

AND that MORE producers "are being negotiated."

Won't that be sweet.
