we have The Cupids, The Bunnies, The Pumpkins, The Candy Canes etc.?

I'm talkin' about when someone comes away with the victory in one of DD's shorts contests, they win The "fill in the blank."

So for the Valentine's Day contest, ihavebiglips just won The Cupid.

The Cupid commands respect! Winning any of 'em commands respect!

And of course, the grandaddy of 'em all, would be the Double D short contest, held once a year around Oscar time, I guess this time.

Then only the winning authors can add to their sigs or an avatar picture of what they've won. They're big time.

Damn, am I corny or what?! :o Also, I just threw out those names in the beginning. If someone wants to get creative, go ahead on.

AND, I cannot see myself winning any of 'em in the future, so I didn't think of this for me. I write strictly for fun around here and don't even know if I'll enter another one again. My brain hurts if I think too much.

I've just seen some nice shorts around here in the past and those authors should be pointed out.

Please feel free to shoot this mess down if it's cornier than I thought.

Actually since Derek has been so instrumental in getting these things
up and running and keeping enthusiam here when things die down, I think
they should be named the Derek. Although we all know unlike the Oscar,
Derek is neither bald nor slim so our award will be unsightly but highly
desirable. ;)

and I think you're really corny and sweet JCorona.

Also - I like D-pat's method of posting the work without names for voting.

Just like the big contests do.
