Question about Managers and payment

So I know that managers generally take 5% if you sell a show or script but how does it work if you get staffed on a show? Do they take a percent out of your weekly paycheck or is there an upfront? Or is there even a set standard?

Alas, Managers take 10 - 15 % not 5%. It's your lawyer who takes 5%.
