Anyone here immediately get re-writing work when they signed with an agent? Any good stories?

I was handed two possible assignments by a prodco (a well-known one) after my manager went wide with a script that was well-received but remains unsold, due to its subject matter and the timing of when it was sent out (the background to it is the current--when I wrote it everyone thought it was over--Iraq war).
One assignment was to adapt a novel for two A-list actors, one of whom was signed to produce; the other was a rewrite. I pitched the first a month later, backed up with a twenty-page treatment. The project was dropped by the prodco (and the A-lister) soon afterwards.
I did a synopsis of my rewrite take, and it was assigned to another writer.
In both cases it was made clear to me that many other writers were looking at both projects. Good experience, though, and the exec and I got on well enough that I could come back to him with future projects.

Why not include "re-writing work" and "agents" as you compose the subject for your thread?
As with a logline, you'll hook people the way you should to increase your odds of getting the replies you're after.
