Hi All...
I was just wandering if anybody got staffed this season? And if they did CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes!
Also, if you got staffed did you use a spec or pilot as your sample?

Search 'Artisone.' He/she's the most recent, I think.

An original pilot. It seems to be the way to go.

Artisone - congratulations! What's the show? My understanding, from the assistant of a showrunner is that you want to have an original pilot, yes, but also a spec or two. I can't profess to know, since I don't write television but my friend received and read tons of work submitted by writers hoping to get staffed on the pilot that her boss produced. Anyway, my friend was good enough to write a guest blog on the Rouge Wave for me about the experience of producing a pilot for the upfronts; check it out.

I think it varies. For the show I'm on it only took a pilot and A LOT of follow up from agents, managers, and network execs.
