I came across them pretty randomly. Anyone have any experience with them at all? Any sort of news?

Well, the fact that "patience" on the site is spelled wrong didn't bode well to start with, but what do I know :p

Question #1 should always be "What have you produced?" - then you go to Blockbuster, rent it, watch it, and go from there.
If they have produced nothing, they are even lower than an unproduced writer - an unproduced writer owns a script.

"Rackleff Productions is currently accepting script submissions for low/mid budget levels to be shot within the next 24 months. Standard WGA rates and percentages apply to selected projects.
Rackleff Productions assumes no responsibility for the return or protection of submitted material, and reserves the right to proceed with projects of a similar nature already under consideration and in development. By submitting your material, you acknowledge that, from time to time, matters of similar nature to those submitted may be already in progress, and agree that Rackleff Productions shall be under no obligation, financial or otherwise for claims made in such instance. "
Assumes NO responsibility for the protection of submitted material? From time to time matters of similar nature may already be in progress?
Is that a legal notice to openly steal or am I reading that wrong?

Just call it homonymicly incorrect. I suffer the same problem - a dyslexic sort of outcome. Besides "patients" could equally be typed by the web service they've employed. Then again, the could be foreigners being involved in the investment aspect.
I'm assuming you obtained their release form through a Craigslist query, right?
I'm not sure why writers don't simply ask.
Understand that I'm no lawyer but it looks pretty standard to me.
If it were me I'd send in a copyrighted/registered script or two. If they're claiming WGA rates, that's a BIG step above most that advertise there.
Take a look at the Done Deal release forms on the main page. It'll give you an idea of how diverse they can be.

I agree - that's pretty standard language.

It actually just came to me in my email inbox. No biggie. Just trying to learn some more about some of the newer prodco's.

Maxwell Smart: Ah-ha!! If it isn't The Martell Litmus Test.
Seriously, that's good way of looking at it though.

It may be a truth but do you ignore start-ups with full/partial funding behind them that have connections?
:)

If they are a start-up with funding and connections, they would put out the call for scripts to the established agencies that they have connections with. Judging by the method that they're looking for scripts, they do not have money.
