What are your opinions on a manager or agent in NY. Do you think this would hinder or help being away from LA?
Also, is anyone or has anyone ever been in a situation where their agent or manager worked out of NY?

it depends on what you want out of a manager. my NY manager is less up-to-date with news and people than i'd like, but it hasn't bothered me as much as it could because my L.A. agent covers that territory. the manager is much better at having time to give me more individual attention / advice / support. that said, the closest i've come to on a deal was through a meeting my manager had set up.
i do think some form of L.A. representation is crucial, but a good manager in NY should be able to help you with that if you don't already have it.

Have any of you sent material to Joan Scott? How long does she take to get back to you?
Thanks.
