Would appreciate help. I recently completed a screenplay in the vein of THE CROW and would like to target/query some producers with interest/experience in the genre. I'm compiling a list via a number of sources, but am wondering if anyone here might also have some suggestions as to companies like this -- large or small -- that might be accessible. Any suggestions, obvious or obscure, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, I do have an entertainment attorney, but he doesn't make submissions. And I don't currently have an agent or manager. Like many of you, I've been through several, small and large, and they just don't offer much help submitting specs. They may go out to a few producers, get rejections, then give up. Thanks again for your suggestions.

It might be a good idea to pick up a copy of FANGORIA - production companies usually advertise their wares - and you can go from there.

Or, hop on over to www.bloody-disgusting.com (http://www.bloody-disgusting.com) and look for films similar to your script. They usually list the studio in the info column. If that fails IMDB PRO would be a safe bet.

Some off the top of my head would be...

2929 Productions
Fox Atomic
After Dark Films
Rogue Pictures
DarcLight Films
Anchor Bay
Ghosthouse Pictures
DNA Films
Twisted Pictures
Dimension Films
Lionsgate Films

Then there's the lower independent houses that specialize in horror.

Best of luck - hope this helps?

You also forgot Dark Castle Entertainment... I'm sure there's a few others I'm currently blanking out on as well.
