My spec script is a hybrid of Comedy, Adventure, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi genres. :eek :lol

The comedy is specifically social satire, centered on a strong theme, possibly a high concept – funny but serious and intelligent (nothing gross, pervert, or stupid – although Jim Carrey, Steve Martin, Robin Wiliams, and Jack Black are high on my protagonist list). It’s a medium-to-high budget studio-targeted movie. :lol ;)

Assuming my (great) script falls in the hands of one of these directors, who do you think might be more interested in pursuing it? Or whose doors should I (or my agent) be knocking on?

Terry Gilliam
Blake Edwards
Ron Howard
Rob Reiner
Steven Spielberg
Tim Burton
Robert Zemeckis
George Lucas
James Cameron
Brian De Palma
Peter Jackson
Alfonso Cuaron
Chris Columbus
Mike Newell
Oliver Stone
Ridley Scott
Andy/Larry Wachowski
Paul Verhoeven
Martin Scorsese
Francis Ford Coppola
James Mangold
Quentin Tarantino
Bryan Singer
Stephen Sommers
Gore Verinski
Sam Raimi

I’m sure I failed to list a bunch of other likely directors. My original choice was Stanley Kubrick… but he’s no longer with us. Woody Allen and Mel Brooks only direct their own stuff... so I didn't bother to list them. :eek

Regarding producers, I don't know where to begin... but eventually I will. :eek

Thanks in advance for your help. :D

I'd make a list of similar films made in the last 5 years, then find out who directed them.
