I don't think Robert's slimy and ugly enough to play Heffner. Robert's very sensual, while even as a young man Heffner seemed like an old perv, like your neighbor's dirty grandpa.

Well, the piece says that Hefner himself has the say in who plays him... so I doubt he's gonna go, "Hm... not slimy and ugly enough."
That said, who's gonna want to watch a movie about Hugh Hefner? I mean, it promises lots of eye candy, but the bottom line is that Playboy Bunnies aren't all that to begin with.

I can totally see Downey as The Hef.
I mean, who'da thunk of casting Heath Ledger as The Joker?
