She's in town plugging 'The Grudge'. I attended her press conference and asked if she has plans to start her own production company.
Bear in mind, she managed to bring every question back to how she thinks it's important for women to have roles of power in movies today, in every genre; she mentioned Halle Berry's role in 'Gothika'. She also said she wanted to do projects that challenged stereotypical roles for women.
So, yes, she is hoping to start her own company in the future and is already looking at books to option.
