They tested the last issue in a couple of stores and it sold really well, so they put it in LA & NY stores this issue. Blockbuster's idea, not Script's (the mag is ordered through a distrib, so Script found out about it after the order). Blockbuster has a rack of movie mags near the checkouts - Premiere, EW, etc. They must think Script fits in with those.

I think it's cool that regular renters might discover that the stars don't make up their own dialogue.

Hollywood Video has started selling magazines in store. I saw the recent issue of "Lost" magazine and then a bunch of ladies mags. I was like "Lost" I get, the ladies mags...what does that have to do with film and thought they should have "Filmmaker" or "Creative Screenwriting". They did have "Premiere." :)
