Thanks.

A principle deputy assistant secretary of state normally works within the state department's security/intelligence branch. They are not diplomats, but more advisors to ambassadors and state department brass about the geopolitical, economic and military status of a region (e.g. Donald Camp is the PDASS of the Bureau of South Asian Affairs). Their info reports help formulate US policy in a given region. In reality, it's a fancy name for an analyst. I guess the bigger the acronym the bigger the paycheck

Orinoco,

Do you happen to know at what level diplomats receive immunity?

Would a PDASS qualify?

Thanks.

Rev,
Depends on the immunity thing.
