Soon. I'm thinking of writing a new blog about the demise of Tribune. As a former employee of Times Mirror nee Tribune, I've been watching the demise of the company with sadness. I didn't think it could get any worse than the ill fated merger with Tribune. It used to be a great place to work.

I was not part of the Zell mess, but I saw a great paper go to hell. Tribune bought Times Mirror at a heavily inflated price, and then came the huge circulation scandal which cost millions to settle. My paper, which prided itself on its hiring locally, now runs a skeleton crew in sales and customer service, outsourcing upstate and overseas. When Zell took it over, I knew it was the beginning of the end.
