Hi Everyone - there doesn't appear to be an appropriate place to put this...

...but is there an archive anywhere of messages/threads on the old board?

I'm guessing not, but just thought I'd ask.

Thanks!

I can't find an archive, per se, but I've searched and sifted through this board and found stuff from like 2002...

Wow, you kids had some angst back then, didn'tcha? Tame these days...

You should've seen the chatroom.

I dunno if this is what you mean, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the board's main index page, you'll see these links:

"Contact Us - Done Deal Pro - Archive (http://messageboard.donedealpro.com/boards/archive/index.php) - Top"

That's funny.... I've never once been to the bottom of the screen to see that!

Thanks DP!

LOL! I've never seen that either! The perils of having 2 24" monitors. You miss the little details.

Alas, the info I'm looking for is not there. It seems to be a truncated, lo-fi archive of everything currently on the board. I guess what I'm looking for is from when DDP was scriptsales.com. That's probably lost in the ether. Even tried Archive.org's wayback machine, but predictably, the messages aren't archived.

On a seperate but related note, is Wordplayer.com working for everyone else? I keep getting the error message - is it just me?

It's working, but I had a problem logging on the other day. I had accidentally been blocked. If you got the "Houston, I have a problem" message, do what it says. And even if you didn't, email webmaster@wordplayer.com.

thought_arcade -

Go to one of the forums, like Screenwriting.

Scroll down to the bottom of the index where it says "Display Options" and "Showing threads 1 to 20 of X." Click on thing that says "From: Last Month," then choose "Beginning" and click on the "Show Threads" button.

You'll find posts dating back to 2000. (The board started in December, 1999, if I'm not mistaken.)

Older posts from our forums with ezBoard and when these forums were at Scriptsales.com are still around. Because the posts, etc. were imported the don't have hyperlinks for the usernames, etc. nor are they always as easily found. But they are there as others noted. Older posts go back quite a long time -- to at least mid 2000 in some cases, as Ralphy noted.

If you got the "Houston, I have a problem" message, do what it says. And even if you didn't, email webmaster@wordplayer.com.

And if you are having a problem with our forums, please don't email/bother the Wordplayer guys about it. They can't help with our forums nor can we with theirs. :)

LOL, no that was a separate issue entirely, I just posted it in the same message.

Thanks!
