Anyone know what would be the correct word for the "lobby" of a jail? I like to use the correct terminology.

Lobby would appear to the the accepted term, unless you're looking for inmate slang or something?

Also glad to learn the authorities discourage you from leaving your children unattended in the lobby of the jail.
