Down here in Oz, we have an organisation called Little Athletics. Kids between the ages of 5 and 15 attend once a week and compete in track and field events.

It's a nationwide organisation, with clubs across the country. There's training involved, and every so often there are regional and state and national championships, and so on.

Question : is there a similar set-up in the US? I'd imagine there'd have to be. Any info?

Thanks...

There are organizations for team sports such as baseball and football but I don't know of any for track & field--but that could just be my ignorance.

Wow, Kenn. Never heard of it (but to the best of my knowledge I don't have kids, either).

I don't have children either. I'm just a creative "net searcher." I know how to find obscure things like this...

Guess that's why I hang out in the Research/Resources forum.
