A Tabloid Reporter learns how hot it is in the spotlight when he has the tables turned on him by a depressed, recently widowed Comedian.

I'm looking for some ideas for the Reporter (hero) to retaliate against the Comedian before he (reporter) loses everything and then rises back up.

It seems obvious that a Comedian's biggest fear would be to bomb on stage, but I don't see the Reporter having any control over that - However, since the Comedian went from being successful, confident and happy to a depressed recluse after the death of his wife, maybe his biggest fear would be success without her??

Any thoughts?

If the reporter is in the audience and he makes a disgusting noise every time the comedian cracks a joke, he could ruin the guy's performance.

To me, a comedian's worst nightmare would be someone from the audience (reporter) yelling out the punchlines of his jokes...

Dat ruin my day....

Billie,

That's an interesting concept I hadn't thought of, thanks! Because my reporter attacks the comedian through the tabloids, the reporter does the same to the reporter, only through a ligit and respected magazine - it's the only thing I have left to incorporate in my rewrite but it's harder than I thought!

Thanks to you as well Raven!

Let me know if you come up with any further thoughts, it's much appreciated.
