there must be some stay at home moms or dads who are involved in the PTA, social activities, sports, etc . . .
What I am looking for is some solid examples of where you may have made a difference by your actions or your ideas.
You may be in a leadership position or just extremely active.
Where have you made a difference in your community, PTA, children's sports . . . ?

Does the difference only relate to the community? What about making a difference in their children's lives?

I was a single father from the time when my daughter was eight until she graduated from college. As a writer, I became involved in marketing at her private school, did tours on open-house days, was asked to become a member of the board of trustees. I took her to music lessons, watched her games, read to her every night (including The Hobbit and the Rings trilogy--every word of it), made all the meals, drove her to and from school, and loved every minute of it.
Now she's an independent college graduate, working in her field, and though my actual involvement in her life is obviously much less, I'm still there to field questions about her work and to provide her with all the praise and encouragement she needs.
