A producer wants me to write a script about (surprise) a squad of rogue cops.
Are there any definitive books on specific police procedure, i.e. in robbery-homicide cases, or other crimes?
Thanks for your help in advance!

You might want to check out the "Howdunit" series of books... There's one about Crime Scene Investigations and one about Investigation Techniques:

Good luck!

I have a couple of the Howdunit series and they are pretty informative. A friend of mine who writes had recommended them to me.
If it helps they are grouped together here: www.scriptsales.com/Donedealstore3.html (http://www.scriptsales.com/Donedealstore3.html)
