Cop Info

Anyone know a place to find details on the LAPD? Rank, ages, etc? I know this isn't on Research and Resources but nobody answers there and I would appreciate your help greatly.

There's a new book called Crime Writer's Reference, just published this month.

I have a copy, but haven't got to the cop section yet. I believe it includes specific info on the LAPD and NYPD though, including org charts if I'm not mistaken.

Check out www.lapdonline.org (http://www.lapdonline.org) and click on "LAPD Organization" if you want to see the org chart/ranks, etc.

As far as ages, check out www.lapd.com (http://www.lapd.com) under General Information -- Roll Call to see bios/ages/details.

There's a ton of info there...
