The Road Warrior

Please see below for DETAILS of this easy-on and inviting little contest; it should run quite happily alongside the Clueless Summer Writing Contest ... this thread will be used to post entries, later on we can either add the judges comments to the end, or start a separate thread.
But before then, please post your entry here, you may make more than one, in fact -- up to three entries, any combination of synopsis and loglines, a 2 + 1 combination, or whatever you please ...
:)

Please post below -
:)
Here's my logline...
Love the vampire "angle/angel"
***************************************
When TOBY, a vampire with laughter paralysis
is left to die by a renegade CIA spy in the dessert
of Mexico, he becomes ensnared in a nearby town
where a mortal game of chess is about to take place
among the nearby cattle farmers. After becoming
involved with the priest’s licentious ex-wife who promises
him more than a warm bed, Sam is ready to broadcast
a live feed that will bring the CIA spy and their
illegitimate contemporaries back for one last hunt
for the missing link to the CROWN JEWEL and the
legendary RED FOX...

Thanks Ben. I like the way you've used "licentious"; there's a word that trips off the tongue.
Remember folks. It's any combination, even one selection from the list will be satisfactory ... to give us your logline. Or synopsis.

literary marvel? very sweet thing to say RW. i think i have a pink superhero costume buried in my closet, does that count? :o
honestly, i'm not qualified to pro-judge anybody's work (least of all my own) but another creative thinking exercise sounds like good fun! Such a crazy list of topics - time to put the thinking cap on!

Yes, it's a creative thinking exercise, and we as judges may enter, but not to win, simply to move it along. As divine machinery you see, we have that role.
I will be wearing a black pvc top to toe number for the judgiing. It's a rare outfit, from the Mad Max wardrobe department.

ben,
i really like your description/use of toby as a vampire with laughing paralysis. imho it packs a lot of punch in a very, very short description. the impressions that came to me from your first line - why is a vampire named "toby"? he must be relatively young for a name like that...? how did he get laughing paralysis? and, was his paralysis caused by the unknown person or renegade who tried to take the radio from him? if so, was the renegade perhaps associated with a dentist at some point, ie., someone who would have access to laughing gas or other means of causing a similar paralysis?
very nice!

BREAKING NEWS, just in, AT SUNSET, THEY'LL BE COMING, but it won't be the SMILING VAMPIRE because the sun won't be all the way down yet, sissy, nor the two SPIES CAUGHT ON CAMERA playing a DANGEROUS GAME OF CHESS where the loser had his CROWN JEWELS STOLEN from his body by the winner, sissies, but instead it'll be the ONE TOO MANY COOKS (REEEEEEEEEEAL SISSIES), who will be rollin' up with their recipes into the woods trying to kill THE RED FOX before . . . hey, TOBY, THAT'S MY RADIO, man! Damn sissy stole my radio. Sorry, had an AFTERTHOUGHT.

That's funny Corona, I've deliberately given folks three goes, if they want to come back, so if a few folks have or feel like contributing but wish to upgrade their entry, it allows you to come back and trump the other guy. Or gals !

:) the show seems to be a good platform for unknown talent so all the more power to 'em. fun to watch anyway.
In an alternate universe where spies and vampires publish breaking news articles to subvert public sentiment, a covert operative "Red Fox" of the Central Illusion Agency accepts a mission to infiltrate the legendary cult of “Smiley the Vampire”. His simple task however, spirals into a battle for the universe when the beloved podcaster “Toby the Radioman” is assassinated following the theft of Britain’s Crown Jewels.

When the British Museum reveals a new exhibit, the Smiling Vampire, replete with open coffin, it's only a short time before the corpse disappears, caught on CCTV it is soon implicated in a jewellery heist ! The 'believed dead for 500 years' discovery ... found walled in behind a rack in a Transylvanian castle's wine cellar (and heralded by the press as 'Dracula is Real !') appears to have joined up with the notorious Red Fox, and embarked upon a daring crime spree, some say the Fox and Drac are the same man, supernatural entity, stiff running amok.Searchlights sweep the clouds above Tower Bridge as news breaks that the Crown Jewels have been targeted ...
