The Guava Company?

Anybody else get an email from the Guava Company? It claims to be some sort of internet TV station.

A blurb from the email:
We are in the beginning stages of hiring both on the corporate and
production sides. In terms of production, we are looking to fill out our
residential writing group.

It reads like some kind of scam to get writers to work for free...

Does anybody know about this company?

I saw their ad' on another site and applied, curious as to what the score was.
I've not yet replied as I have a MASSIVE list of questions and want to filter them down, but it struck me as being a little strange that they produce their own shows yet still want writers to pitch concepts to be greenlit once all the ground work's been done.
But maybe I just read it wrong.

I applied to this. The application deadline was the 27th of July. Supposedly they were suppose to inform everyone on August 31 about the next step (in interviews I guess).

Has anyone else had any dealings with them?

Hollywood moves at a snails pace, so I'm not surprised.
