I'm looking for a writing partner to help polish up some finished scripts. Ideas are great but scripts are lacking. No pay up front but will get percentage of sale. In the past month alone have had requests from WME (passed), Niad Management twice (passed), Anonymous Content (passed), Joan Scott (passed), Madhatter Films (pending), Trancas Films (pending), Zero Gravity (pending), Big Top Productions (pending) and so on. I put up one of these listings before and the response was not to good. I don't see the problem with a partnership considering I get tons of requests. If you don't believe me I'll give you their names and you can check yourself. Also, whoever partners up with me I will send your scripts to my contacts if you like. This is my last effort, I'm not going to be that idiot who tries 8-10 years to sell a script and never does. I guess if I was satasfied with getting requests and reads but no sales like 90% of the people on this board I would be in a better mood. On the front page of this site it said Mission Impossible 4 was purchased. Who the f--k wants to see that movie. I guess a well written script with a lame idea is better than an average script with clever and fresh ideas. All you have to do is read through Trackingb.com and you'll no exactly what I'm talking about. If anyone is interested pm me, thanks!

Interesting. Can you either post or PM me a logline/synopsis for the idea(s)? If the idea hits home with my writing style, then I may want to discuss it further.

streaker -- I think you expressed what every writer thinks 90% of the time -- but you won't make it with that outlook. Cheer up dude.

It's a great sign that you are getting reads -- so this should NOT be your last try at success.

My question is -- why do you want a partner if your script is already getting reads?

People don't take partnerships seriously sometimes and think about the pros/cons. Most writers work better alone, the few that work well with partners, sometimes they need to just find the right one.

What I really need is a qualified pair of eyes to look at my scripts and make the necessary corrections and changes. I'm willing to share credit , % of the sale and so on. They are definitely not perfect but when I think this may be the one I'm hammered with negative criticism. I get requests and reads but nothing more than that. I got offered an option but the deal was pulled off the table. They liked my story concept but not the script. What really bothers me is that I can guarantee I would have optioned or sold numerous scripts if they were up to par. Like I said in a previous thread I've gotten tons of requests but why no offers? That's why I want a partner, someone who can bring the best out of my scripts. People will say "why send them out", my answer is I don't know if I could write them any better.

Streaker, do you belong to a workshop? Or have another writer whom you trust to read your work and give you honest feedback?
