I just put one of my scripts on inktip and in the first 4 days of it being on there, I noticed three different companys/management people looked at the logline twice, on different days?
Are they foregettful at what they looked at the day before or is there a glich in the system?
Just courious if anyone else had same situation.

A lot of times, companies will use interns or assistants to skim Inktip and similar sites, looking for interesting material. The double look could simply be an intern looking at it, and the assistant following up to see if the logline really is something for them. Regardless, multiple views is better than one view or no views... then again, it doesn't amount to much if no one reads the script, though! :)
Best of luck... I hope the multiple logline views are followed with multiple script reads!

The deal with Inktip...I think they list a bunch of loglines on one page. When a person goes to that page you do end up getting the hit but it doesn't really mean they looked at your particular logline. 80 percent sure on this....

I think with the Log line hits, your logline just pops up if they are searching for any of the subject words etc., that your script is tagged with in the system. So, yeah your logline will come up for them, but as was said before, accompanied by all the other loglines that fit their search parameters.
If you come up with synopsis, resume, or script hits, those they did specifically pull up, to look at your information.

Most of the activity on inktip is generated by their own staff either checking for objectionable content or just trying to make it look like the industry loves you. They want to give you the impression that the system works, especially at the beginning, so you'll up for the newsletter and stuff.

Peasblossom is right. Someone does a search for romantic comedies, and your logline is one of many the searcher will be shown. Someone else from the same company does a search for romantic comedies, and your logline will pop up again. If the first searcher wasn't interested in your logline, you never know, the second one might be. Or the sixth. When you get a script request, you know someone liked your logline.

Oh I hope that's not the case... though I thought this a few years ago with my short screenplays I posted. Got a slew of emails, always from Canada or India... never went anywhere.
