I don't know if this is the right place, but I just wanted to make a quick post on the merits of scrap paper.

Scrap paper is great for any number of things, such as making small notes for script changes, adjustments for the monthly budgets, or even reminders on what an a$$hole your neighbor is for having trees that rain sap every the summer on your poor bastard uncle who likes to sit out front without sucumbing a case of resin-skin.

Scrap paper can be recycled. It can also be bicycled. And by that I mean, take a scrap, put it in the wheels of your bike, and ride like there's no tomorrow. That clicking you hear...it's not tinnitis. It's scrap!

So, for everyone who thinks there's nothing you can do for the environment, pick up some scraps and give the ozone the finger.

The coolest is having the new biodegradable Post-it notes.

I've left a trail of riddles in pink throughout the Santa Monica/Pacific Ocean Park area. Buried treasure on the beach, maybe?

I chop my scap paper into quarters to make note size pads. Staple paper together, use for grocery & to-do lists, phone #s, etc...

I assumed everyone did this, but maybe not...

I put the pads all around the house so as to have them handy. I make'em for the hubby too.

I print out my scripts (& other people's) only when I absolutely have to so I don't make extra waste.

:D

and don't forget the merits of crap paper. if you write your script out on crap paper it has two functions and won't go to waste. oh, wait a minute...

Neil Simon, PLAZA SUITE, "But did she have to write it on this kind of paper?" (ie: toilet).

I thought this was going to be about writers being scrappy.

and if you do your notes in pencil, buy one of those rubber things so you can re-use the notes over and over and not even toss them out

one of those rubber things

I wear one whenever I write. You know, to *protect* my work.

can't be leaving scrap paper around, stuff's dangerous. might as well be leaving out grenades with half pulled pins.
